Based in Louisville, Kentucky, SCR Inc. has developed a chronic implantable counterpulsation device (CPD) now in final pre-clinical trials to treat patients in the late NYHA class III and early NYHA class IV of heart failure. This device is designed to extend life and improve health before more drastic and invasive interventions become the only alternatives.
